What Is In My Make Up Bag?(And My Excuse For Not Posting)

Hey Guys,

Yes I know I haven't posted in a while, and the truth is I just forgot. I've been studying quite alot since at the moment I have my mock exam, scary right?, and anyone who is doing them too knows just how stressful they are. I should be back to posting every Saturday and please do send me some blog ideas that you have since I''m open to suggestion :). So there is my excuse and now I'll let you get on with reading the real purpose of the blog.

So recently I've have a BIG switch around with the makeup product that I throw into my daily makeup bag. I've found alot of new product that I absolutely love, and some that work better than past product for me. So here is a list of all the product and some picture of the product in my bag :) and a quick little review for them. Enjoy!

Eye's

In my daily routine I use two mascaras one had been my favorite since I first started wearing makeup and this is 'Maybelline The Colossal volum' express (waterproof) mascara' you can buy this in most drugstore (boots, super drug) and it cost around £7.19 which is the average price for drugstore mascara these days.

What I love about this mascara is that although I have decent length eyelashes it still extented them and gives them a nice curl, I personally don't use eyelash curler but I think if paired together your eyelashes would look incredible! In the past when doing my friend (who has very short eyelashes) makeup this mascara has also made her eyelashes look alot longer. So if you are looking for a mascara to added length and volume to your eyelashes then i would defiantly give this one a go.

The second mascara I use is 'Maybelline The Rocket volum' express mascara' this can also be purchased at most drugstores, it cost just a tad more that the first one and cost around £7.99 (obviously you can find it cheaper online these prices are just retail prices).

I use this mascara on top of 'The Colossal volum' express' and I use it fan out my lashes more. I am not a fan of thick clumpy eyelashes coaxed in mascara, I prefer thick fanned out eyelashes, in my opinion they are alot more natural looking and don't make you look like you have panda eyes. I think this mascara alone is ok if you like a very natural fanned out look but the times I've worn this alone I've always had to add another mascara since I don't find it gives me enough volume.

For eyeliner I use a liquid for my lid and a pencil for my waterline because I prefer a more precise line on top.

The liquid eyeliner I use is the 'Maybelline Master Precise liquid liner' and yes all my eye product are my Maybelline this blog isn't sponsored by them I just happened to find a few of their eye product I like. This product again can be purchased in most drugstore and it cost £5.99.

I like this eyeliner because yes I am one of those girls who is so bad when it comes to liquid eyeliner with the paint brush like applicator, I just find it so hard to get a nice precise line without stretching your eyelid to the side (most girl will know what that means), personally I like to apply liquid eyeliner with my eyes open so this felt tip eyeliner is great for me and my weird ways of applying makeup :). I like how it has a very think point to it but you can still produce thicker line by just applying more pressure. Something I don't really like is that after a white when it starts to run out the eyeliner sometime will come out fainter at the tip and so u have to push it down on a surface and then dip the eye of the felt tip applicator into it (yes I know that probably makes no sense sorry). So if you like nice precise lines and a easy application the defiantly give this one a go!

The final Maybelline eye product I use is the pencil eyeliner I use, this is 'Maybelline Master Drama khol liner' this again can be purchased in most drugstore and it costs around £4.49.

I bought this eyeliner a few month ago but I had a slight problem with it since it maniacal and it could turn up, I did some research and apparently loads of people though it was broke but after loads of turning it came up, either my'n was broken or I just wasn't patient enough I bit the end of it off :/ . So then I though there is no way I'm going to be able to use it, then for some reason  I put a pair of tweezers in the eye and it actually pushed up the stick of eyeliner, so that is how I use it. Although it is mechanical it sharpens like a normal eyeliner pencil and it it very matte black and does last a good 4/5 hours if I'm not constantly poking my eyes.

The final thing I use for my eyes everyday is a MUA eye shadow palette the one I use is normally the 'Heaven and Earth' palette'. You can buy this from Super drug for £4, which is a absolute bargain for the quality of eye shadow.

I picked this palette up after reading about their dupe for the Urban Decay naked 2 palette and I decided to purchase the  dupe (the undress me too palette) and their palette because I love wearing brown and gold and copper toned eye shadows because I love how they look with my hazel green eyes :) . My two favorite shade in this palette which are the two I usually wear are the pearl white shade which is the first one on the top row and the brown with a tiny bit of golden shimmer which is second from last on the bottom row. I think this palette is good for daily use because of the price I don't mind quickly using all the eye shadows up.

Face:

So now on to face, I'll do this in the order I apply them so primer first.

For primer I use 'Benefit's POREfessional primer' You can buy this from place such as Debenhams and their online website. It costs £24.50 which yes I know sound like alot but an extremely small amount is needed compared to other primer I have used in the past.

I find that with this product the saying 'a small amount goes along way' is true since I find it last me ages until it runs out I think if I tried it could last me a year personally! I like how it minimizes and hides my pore and give me a amazing base for foundation. Also if you can find a sample of this just put a bit on the back of your hand and you will see how nice it feels seriously after testing it you will want to buy it so badly. I think it does really help make applying foundation easier because I find it makes it easier to blend my makeup, so if you do find it difficult to get a nice even coverage then a primer might be just what you need.

Now concealer, I've recently purchase yes another Maybelline product and this is 'The Eraser', you can again buy it from most drug store and I'd like to add that alot of shops in they only have a small makeup section e.g. Tesco, Sainsburys, Wilkinson will usually have a Maybelline section, just as a side note. This costs £7.99.

To be completely honest this is quite new so I haven't had very long to review it but so far I can tell that I think it works best at covering stops or redness if instead of swiping it on your face but dabbing it on, this some how give a better application then with a bit of blending with either a brush or your ring finger, but under your eyes you can use the applicator it comes with. A disadvantage is that it instruct you not to use any cleaning product on the applicator and that you can only use a dry tissue so it mean that you can not clean in, but I read it and I think it has a chemical on the applicator that kills bacteria (but I'm not certain).

The foundation I've been using is a old one i rediscovered and it's 'L'OREAL True Match foundation' this also can be bough at most drugstore. It costs £9.99.

I started using this foundation about 1/2 years ago but for some reason although I didn't need a higher coverage foundation I changed foundation and started wear a high coverage, so recently I haven't been wearing foundation just because my skins been quite clear but I want to make my skin tone more monotone and to get rid of any redness or dark spots, so I decided to get a lighter coverage foundation and rediscover this foundation at the back on my makeup drawer but the one I had was a few year old and about 5 shades to light for my skin color now. I think that the foundation is very blendable which if your a beginner with foundation then this is a good first foundation.

The powder I have been using is the 'Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder' as with the rest of the makeup it can be found in most drugstore, (may have just been easier to say all but one is available in most drugstore but never mind now). It costs £3.99, which is very cheap for a powder that in my opinion is my favorite.

I LOVE this product so much! I like powders that I need to work my brush into to get alot on it, since I usually find that I get all of wasted product with powders that just have a brush full with one swipe. I at one point got my skin clear enough not to need to wear foundation and I found that a bit on concealer and this powder was enough to make my skin look decent so I think it has decent coverage, it get rid of shininess but it you  have dry skin as alot of powders so it stick to it. It last me a whole school day which is good for me since that the amount of time I need it too last.

I either used bronzer or blush since I try to keep my make up very natural for school so to much contouring can make me look a bit to made up. The bonzer I use is the 'Collection shimmer glow' and its £2.79, the blush I use is the 'NYX Cheeky Glow Powder Blush' in the color west side wine and this is £2.99. You can get both of these from super drug  and you may be able to get the bronzer at boot but I'm not sure if they still do them.

I like this bronzer because I think it is quite subtle and just give you a nice natural glow, so if you wanted intense contouring then I would not recommend this but if like me you prefer a more natural look for day to day then this is definitely one to look at. This blush I originally bought my mum for her birthday but some how it ended up in my makeup bag :) I love this color is a pinky, redy, purpley color (aren't I great at describing colors :'). It goes on very lightly but it is easy to build the color up by just applying more so its very build able.

So that is everything that is in my makeup bag, I haven't included lips because I change the, everyday depending on what I'm wearing, if you want me to include lip makeup please feel free to comment and if enough people want me to I will.

There are hypo links to all the product I use a the bottom of this post, just to say none of these products are sponsered and they are my complete true opinion on the product if any product are sponsored I will tell you :)

Love Life, Stay Strong and remember your simply beautiful :*

love ya
