CHRISTMAS!!!

Hey Guys

So Christmas is finally upon us. I would like to start by saying "Merry Christmas". I absolutely love Christmas as much as I did as a little kid. I grew up in a family who also shared my love so there has never not been a Christmasy year so far. The blog post is my way of sharing my Christmas day with all of you :) So here we go!

Ok, so firstly I wake up nice and early to make the most of the day but sadly my family don't share this idea.

I get straight into the shower and get nice and clean!
I use the 'Touch of silver brightening
 shampoo and conditioner'
I also use the Nivea in shower moisturiser,
Radox Berry Berry shower cream, the Body shop
raspberry shower gel and LUSH dirty soap.

I then apply my hair product and dry my hair.

I use V05 amplifying blow dry lotion
(I've done a review on)
and TRESemme heat defence spray

I then continue by straitening my hair and applying my makeup.
I use my daily make up (look at
 previous post) expect  instead
of using my MUA palette, I use
benefits 'nude wings' and 'kiss me, I'm tipsy'.

I get in either my onsie or something comfy and lay out my outfit on my bed so I don't have to make any last minute decisions.

I then head off waking up my family member and we all head downstairs.

PRESENT TIME!!!!!
(I'll have another blog post up later will what I got for Christmas)

After getting all our gifts from 'Santa' we clear up our wrapping paper mess and head our separate way to get ready, don't worry we always blast the Christmas tune so the spirit stay.

Once we are all ready we head back downstairs and do any last minute tidying, since as a family we are very last minute.

When everyone is here we congregate in the living room while the dinner is being prepared by my lovely mum and Auntie.

Then its time for food! The yummiest part, I remember when I was little I hated this part because it meant I had to wait for everyone to finish eating before I could open my present now it my favorite part because its when we can have a nice family dinner and talk and have a laugh.

Once dinner is over :( we all move bag into the living room and prepare for the present from each other, I love this part as well because I love seeing people faces as they open their gifts :).

At this point I go up stair and change from my dress and into something comfier to lounge in, this year I choose some disco pants and a Christmas jumper.

Then back down I go!

Games time, even though they are childish and stupid they make everyone laugh together so its defiantly worth it!

We then continue chatting some people have cheese and cracker and one by everyone goes home.

I snuggle up on the couch with my mum and brother and we watch the Doctor Who Christmas special, who needs the Queen's speech =D , we then continue to watch many more Christmas special. Then finally I get extremely tired and head off to bed.

I do my usual skin care routine (a blog post of that will be up on Saturday), and head off to bed upset that Christmas had come and gone so quickly.

What is on my iPhone

Hey guys

I feel that because Christmas is quickly approaching that I should do some extra random post, these will not necessarily be beauty related but just something extra as a sort of Christmas present. Today I'm going to do the 'whats on my iPhone' I guess tag blog, this is just because I have been bed bound for the past couple days and I have spent alot of my time on my phone, so I decided to shared with you what has been entertaining me, lets begin.

So  firstly on my phone is my lock screen of me and one of my best mates little sisters, I love this photo so much since it reminds me of the first day I got really close to my now best friend who I really love to bits.

4

Once we unlock my phone we see all my most used apps, there I have: Messages, Contacts, Camera, Photos, calendar, Vine, Weather, Videos, Settings, Crome, App Store, a folder called Utilities (that has inside it: Calculator, Clock, Notes, Maps, iTunes Store, Reminders, Voice Memos, Mail, Tube Maps, Stocks, Passbook, Game Center, Face Time, Compass, Safari and Newsstand), YouTube, Instagram, Music, Tumblr, WhatsApp, Facebook, BBM and Blogger.

My favorite apps on this page are most likely; Vine, Instagram, Music, BBM and of course Blogger (which allows me to draft up some ideas while I'm out and about.

Then on my  second page we have app I use but not as regularly, I'll start with the three that are not in a folder and these are; Bus Times (which find the nearest stop to you and tell you the time until the bus arrives), Advent 2013 (which I downloads because I didn't have a chocolate one this year) and finally the 12 days app, which was highly recommended and so I though why not you get free apps.

Now moving onto the folder called 'Health' and this is sadly my least opened folder, and inside the folder is app such as; Seven (which is when you choose a bunch of intense exercises and you do them each for 30 second and it give you instruction the 30 second timer it lat 7 minutes in total), Fitness Buddy (it just a way of recording exercise), MyNetDiary (it records your diet), my diet coach (help you with dieting), Workouts (which give you load of exercises according to what you want to tone), Abs Trainer (does what it says) and finally Sleep Time (which record you sleep movement and wake up up at the optimum time).

Then in my next folder is called Games are this isn't just game it has a few photo editing apps and a countdown to events. So the apps I have in this folder are: Dumb Ways (this game is by Metro, and it was made to get across the rail way danger to younger people since usually their adverts are very dull), Temple Run 2, Subway Surf, Sweet Talk (which you should all look up on YouTube it is so funny), Surgeon 3, Cut the Rope, Vector, InstaFrame, CamWow, Little Riddles, InstaSize, Countdown+.

Then my next folder is called Television this is just my app I use to watch TV on the go when I can't get to my laptop and the 3 app I have are BBC iPlayer, TVCatchup and TV Guide.

My final folder is called Online Stuff and in this folder is: Coffee Club (this is a costa club card on my phone), Stocard (all my store card just in one place), SUBWAY(my subway card), Vue Cinema, Halifax, Three and Skype.

So that is everything on my phone, I know this quite a weird random thing to post but since I am ill this was the easiest thing for me to  do from my bed, so I hope you enjoy reading this, and check out all my other post :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE EVE

What Is In My Make Up Bag?(And My Excuse For Not Posting)

Hey Guys,

Yes I know I haven't posted in a while, and the truth is I just forgot. I've been studying quite alot since at the moment I have my mock exam, scary right?, and anyone who is doing them too knows just how stressful they are. I should be back to posting every Saturday and please do send me some blog ideas that you have since I''m open to suggestion :). So there is my excuse and now I'll let you get on with reading the real purpose of the blog.

So recently I've have a BIG switch around with the makeup product that I throw into my daily makeup bag. I've found alot of new product that I absolutely love, and some that work better than past product for me. So here is a list of all the product and some picture of the product in my bag :) and a quick little review for them. Enjoy!

Eye's

In my daily routine I use two mascaras one had been my favorite since I first started wearing makeup and this is 'Maybelline The Colossal volum' express (waterproof) mascara' you can buy this in most drugstore (boots, super drug) and it cost around £7.19 which is the average price for drugstore mascara these days.

What I love about this mascara is that although I have decent length eyelashes it still extented them and gives them a nice curl, I personally don't use eyelash curler but I think if paired together your eyelashes would look incredible! In the past when doing my friend (who has very short eyelashes) makeup this mascara has also made her eyelashes look alot longer. So if you are looking for a mascara to added length and volume to your eyelashes then i would defiantly give this one a go.

The second mascara I use is 'Maybelline The Rocket volum' express mascara' this can also be purchased at most drugstores, it cost just a tad more that the first one and cost around £7.99 (obviously you can find it cheaper online these prices are just retail prices).

I use this mascara on top of 'The Colossal volum' express' and I use it fan out my lashes more. I am not a fan of thick clumpy eyelashes coaxed in mascara, I prefer thick fanned out eyelashes, in my opinion they are alot more natural looking and don't make you look like you have panda eyes. I think this mascara alone is ok if you like a very natural fanned out look but the times I've worn this alone I've always had to add another mascara since I don't find it gives me enough volume.

For eyeliner I use a liquid for my lid and a pencil for my waterline because I prefer a more precise line on top.

The liquid eyeliner I use is the 'Maybelline Master Precise liquid liner' and yes all my eye product are my Maybelline this blog isn't sponsored by them I just happened to find a few of their eye product I like. This product again can be purchased in most drugstore and it cost £5.99.

I like this eyeliner because yes I am one of those girls who is so bad when it comes to liquid eyeliner with the paint brush like applicator, I just find it so hard to get a nice precise line without stretching your eyelid to the side (most girl will know what that means), personally I like to apply liquid eyeliner with my eyes open so this felt tip eyeliner is great for me and my weird ways of applying makeup :). I like how it has a very think point to it but you can still produce thicker line by just applying more pressure. Something I don't really like is that after a white when it starts to run out the eyeliner sometime will come out fainter at the tip and so u have to push it down on a surface and then dip the eye of the felt tip applicator into it (yes I know that probably makes no sense sorry). So if you like nice precise lines and a easy application the defiantly give this one a go!

The final Maybelline eye product I use is the pencil eyeliner I use, this is 'Maybelline Master Drama khol liner' this again can be purchased in most drugstore and it costs around £4.49.

I bought this eyeliner a few month ago but I had a slight problem with it since it maniacal and it could turn up, I did some research and apparently loads of people though it was broke but after loads of turning it came up, either my'n was broken or I just wasn't patient enough I bit the end of it off :/ . So then I though there is no way I'm going to be able to use it, then for some reason  I put a pair of tweezers in the eye and it actually pushed up the stick of eyeliner, so that is how I use it. Although it is mechanical it sharpens like a normal eyeliner pencil and it it very matte black and does last a good 4/5 hours if I'm not constantly poking my eyes.

The final thing I use for my eyes everyday is a MUA eye shadow palette the one I use is normally the 'Heaven and Earth' palette'. You can buy this from Super drug for £4, which is a absolute bargain for the quality of eye shadow.

I picked this palette up after reading about their dupe for the Urban Decay naked 2 palette and I decided to purchase the  dupe (the undress me too palette) and their palette because I love wearing brown and gold and copper toned eye shadows because I love how they look with my hazel green eyes :) . My two favorite shade in this palette which are the two I usually wear are the pearl white shade which is the first one on the top row and the brown with a tiny bit of golden shimmer which is second from last on the bottom row. I think this palette is good for daily use because of the price I don't mind quickly using all the eye shadows up.

Face:

So now on to face, I'll do this in the order I apply them so primer first.

For primer I use 'Benefit's POREfessional primer' You can buy this from place such as Debenhams and their online website. It costs £24.50 which yes I know sound like alot but an extremely small amount is needed compared to other primer I have used in the past.

I find that with this product the saying 'a small amount goes along way' is true since I find it last me ages until it runs out I think if I tried it could last me a year personally! I like how it minimizes and hides my pore and give me a amazing base for foundation. Also if you can find a sample of this just put a bit on the back of your hand and you will see how nice it feels seriously after testing it you will want to buy it so badly. I think it does really help make applying foundation easier because I find it makes it easier to blend my makeup, so if you do find it difficult to get a nice even coverage then a primer might be just what you need.

Now concealer, I've recently purchase yes another Maybelline product and this is 'The Eraser', you can again buy it from most drug store and I'd like to add that alot of shops in they only have a small makeup section e.g. Tesco, Sainsburys, Wilkinson will usually have a Maybelline section, just as a side note. This costs £7.99.

To be completely honest this is quite new so I haven't had very long to review it but so far I can tell that I think it works best at covering stops or redness if instead of swiping it on your face but dabbing it on, this some how give a better application then with a bit of blending with either a brush or your ring finger, but under your eyes you can use the applicator it comes with. A disadvantage is that it instruct you not to use any cleaning product on the applicator and that you can only use a dry tissue so it mean that you can not clean in, but I read it and I think it has a chemical on the applicator that kills bacteria (but I'm not certain).

The foundation I've been using is a old one i rediscovered and it's 'L'OREAL True Match foundation' this also can be bough at most drugstore. It costs £9.99.

I started using this foundation about 1/2 years ago but for some reason although I didn't need a higher coverage foundation I changed foundation and started wear a high coverage, so recently I haven't been wearing foundation just because my skins been quite clear but I want to make my skin tone more monotone and to get rid of any redness or dark spots, so I decided to get a lighter coverage foundation and rediscover this foundation at the back on my makeup drawer but the one I had was a few year old and about 5 shades to light for my skin color now. I think that the foundation is very blendable which if your a beginner with foundation then this is a good first foundation.

The powder I have been using is the 'Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder' as with the rest of the makeup it can be found in most drugstore, (may have just been easier to say all but one is available in most drugstore but never mind now). It costs £3.99, which is very cheap for a powder that in my opinion is my favorite.

I LOVE this product so much! I like powders that I need to work my brush into to get alot on it, since I usually find that I get all of wasted product with powders that just have a brush full with one swipe. I at one point got my skin clear enough not to need to wear foundation and I found that a bit on concealer and this powder was enough to make my skin look decent so I think it has decent coverage, it get rid of shininess but it you  have dry skin as alot of powders so it stick to it. It last me a whole school day which is good for me since that the amount of time I need it too last.

I either used bronzer or blush since I try to keep my make up very natural for school so to much contouring can make me look a bit to made up. The bonzer I use is the 'Collection shimmer glow' and its £2.79, the blush I use is the 'NYX Cheeky Glow Powder Blush' in the color west side wine and this is £2.99. You can get both of these from super drug  and you may be able to get the bronzer at boot but I'm not sure if they still do them.

I like this bronzer because I think it is quite subtle and just give you a nice natural glow, so if you wanted intense contouring then I would not recommend this but if like me you prefer a more natural look for day to day then this is definitely one to look at. This blush I originally bought my mum for her birthday but some how it ended up in my makeup bag :) I love this color is a pinky, redy, purpley color (aren't I great at describing colors :'). It goes on very lightly but it is easy to build the color up by just applying more so its very build able.

So that is everything that is in my makeup bag, I haven't included lips because I change the, everyday depending on what I'm wearing, if you want me to include lip makeup please feel free to comment and if enough people want me to I will.

There are hypo links to all the product I use a the bottom of this post, just to say none of these products are sponsered and they are my complete true opinion on the product if any product are sponsored I will tell you :)

Review: VO5 plump it up amplifying blow dry (spray NOT) lotion

Hey Guys

So VO5 have recently released a new plump it up range of hair products and I thought I'd get in on all the action, so I bought myself the VO5 plump it up amplifying blow dry lotion, and to be honest the name is quiet misleading because it is not a lotion but a spray!

I've used this product around 16 times and i spray it throughout my hair, from my root to my tip. It works as a heat defence which means you have not got to be using another product for heat defence. It leaves my hair with lots of volume, especially at the roots! I LOVE big hair, but not out of control with hair flying in every direction, so big but neat ... if you ever see my hair look a bit out of control I assure you it is purposely done.

I think this product is amazing and I am defiantly going to buy this again. You can buy this in store such as boot and super drug (in America I think most drug stores will supply it). In boot I got this product in a offer which was any two VO5 product for £5 so I think the price of this alone is around £4, the link to it is : http://female.vo5.co.uk/products/plump-it-up/#amplifying-blow-dry-lotion

If you would like me to do any hair tutorial please just send me a message or post me a comment :) :p

Review: VO5 instant oomph powder

Hey Guys

A couple weeks back I bought the VO5 instant oomph powder hoping for the best. I hadn't really used any other product like this before, so I wasn't to sure how it actually worked. This small bottle around  9 cm  tall hold the secret to simple volume in your roots !

This bottle may seem small but holds quite a lot of product, I have been using this product almost every day since I bought it and I can't see no change in the fullness of the bottle, I take this to meaning it will last a long amount of time!

I like how it is in a small bottle since this makes it easy to slip in your bag, even a clutch bag if your going out for the night. A thing I don't like about the Oomph Powder is where it comes out, on the top you'd expect it to have a sort of seal but instead it is open so when you unscrew the lip it can cause wastage, except for that this is a very good product that I and many of my friend love! It better for your hair because back combing will damage your hair, and since I've dye my hair alot my hair is not in it best conditions.

I hope my review helps you deciding if you want to buy the #instant oomph powder or not. It is available in almost drug store and some large super markets.

Introduction

Hello reader

I'll start by introducing myself, I'm Katie, and yes I know that is probably the boringest English name, it not even short for anything! But to makeup for my boring first name my middle name is Pebbles after the Flintstones, hope that makes me sound more interesting?

Anyhoo I decided to start this blog because I have always been really interested in make up and beauty and I was thinking about starting a youtube channel, but I not even going to lie to you, I am too scared, I don't know what people will think of me, my opinion and my self. So I made the choice to walk before and run and this blog is my walking.

This blog although fundamentally based on beauty, I am also going to have some very random content for example; tags, rants, review (on non-beauty based things) and even some cooking recipes. I don't want to only post beauty based thing on this blog because the main point of this is to see what people like and if they like my content and jiberjabber.

I want this blog to sound as though I'm speaking to YOU, since although, yes, maybe there are others out there reading it with you, but its you I want to be talking to, like a very one sided conversation. If you do like my content please feel free to share my blog with your friend and to join me in my blog :).

So I think I've said enough for a little introduction, so I shall let you get on with checking out the rest of my content. I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing it!
